Port Kennedy Football Club
The Port Kennedy Soccer Club formally known as St Clair Junior Soccer Club was formed in 1997 at Port Kennedy Primary School with 45 children. The club then moved to Koorana Reserve, in 1998 due to the size and poor state of the playing surface at Port Kennedy Primary school.
In 2003 the club changed its name to Port Kennedy Junior Soccer Club to represent the area in which we play.
2004 was a major year for the club with the Rockingham City Council building a clubhouse facilities at Koorana Reserve, also the installation of training lights, has enabled us to move out of our two blue sea containers which had served us well over the previous six years, into a modern complex which has enabled the club to grow including fielding senior teams and dedicated women’s teams.

The Club was approached prior to the 2004 season by Naval Base Wescoa Soccer club which was formed in 1975 and has a successful 30 year history in senior soccer to merge with our club. After a successful trial year as Port Kennedy Wescoa Seniors, the two clubs have now merged fully to form the Port Kennedy Soccer Club in 2005.
In 2022, the facilities at Koorana Reserve underwent a significant upgrade to accommodate the growth of Port Kennedy Soccer Club. With over 650 registered players and more than 30 teams in 2023, the club has gained a reputation in the area as a prominent community soccer club.

The master plan, which was developed in 2020, faced a setback due to the COVID pandemic. However, with the support of the Redbacks Hockey Club, the club successfully relocated to its temporary home at Lark Hill. The grand opening in July 2022 turned out to be a resounding success.
